Dunn County ARES/RACES net

Calling the Dunn County ARES/RACES net. Your net control for today’s session is __________, my name is __________ and I am located in ________. This net is held on the first Thursday of every month at 7pm, local time, on the 146.685 repeater.

This is a directed net. All traffic on this net is under the direction of net control, however, emergency or priority traffic can break the net at any time.

The purpose of this net is to provide training, education and information regarding ARES/RACES.  All licensed amateurs are welcome to join the net. You do not have to be a member of Dunn County ARES/RACES to participate in the net.

This net is available for handling formal NTS traffic.  When checking into the net with traffic, say the word “traffic”.  Do not list your traffic until acknowledged by Net Control.

When checking in, please give my call sign, listen, then give your call sign to avoid doubling.

Mobile and short-time stations wishing to check into the net call ___________. (**address these stations and take traffic and comments before continuing on**)

Stations with formal written traffic for the net, call __________.

We will now open the net for all stations with or without traffic. (**if holding traffic, list the outstanding traffic**) Call ___________.

**pass any traffic listed, after general check -ins**

**if the EC has checked in, call on him for his report*

**if the Net Manager has checked in, call on him for his report**

**second round for comments from the net AND take periodic stand bys to check for additional stations wishing to check in**

At this time, I’ll take any final check ins or comments for the net.  Call _____________.

This concludes this session of the Dunn County AREA/RACES Net. I want to thank you to all for checking in tonight and remind you to check in on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm.  The net is now secure, and the repeater is returned to normal use.  _________ clear.

NOTE:  Send a net report to the net manager after the net.  Include net start and end times, call signs of those who checked in, and number of formal pieces of traffic.
